Thursday update: McLaurin is questionable to play against the Buccaneers on Saturday. He didn’t get much practice in this week, but the team is managing his ankle while planning for him to play as usual.
Washington Football Team’s No. 1 wide receiver Terry McLaurin continues to nurse an ankle injury and was limited on Wednesday, per John Keim. He’s played through his ankle issue for the most part, but it has limited his numbers late in the season. But, he did catch seven passes last week to go along with a touchdown, so he’s always going to have upside based on his ability.
McLaurin has had a successful sophomore season, catching 87 passes for 1,118 yards and four touchdowns despite having suspect quarterback play all year. As long as he doesn’t have any setbacks, he does get a good matchup with a Buccaneers’ secondary that hasn’t been good of late. They have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to wide receivers over the last ten games, as they’ve had to beat teams with their offense more than their defense in the second half of the season.
