What time does the 2021 Royal Rumble start and what is the match order

The road to Wrestlemania has arrived with the Royal Rumble. We take a look at start time and match order.

The WWE kicks off the 2021 road to Wrestlemania 37 Sunday evening with the annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. The card will air via live stream on WWE Network and most notable features the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches — over-the-top battle royals that secure the winner a championship shot at Wrestlemania.

The PPV starts at 6 p.m. with a pre-show kickoff at 6 p.m. ET on WWE Network. That will be followed by the PPV card starting at 7 p.m. ET on the live stream. WWE has not announced an order of matches for the evening, leaving plenty of people offering predictions for the card.

The two Royal Rumble matches will not air back-to-back, and with four championships on the line to go along with the two battle royals, it will be a stacked evening. The card includes the following:

WWE Championship match: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Goldberg
Universal Championship Last Man Standing match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens
Smackdown Women’s Championship: Sasha Banks (c) vs. Carmella
Women’s Tag Team Championship: Charlotte and Asuka (c) vs. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler
Women’s Royal Rumble
Men’s Royal Rumble

Our friends at Cageside Seats provided a prediction of the order, along with extensive reasoning. We’ll find out this evening how this prediction holds up to reality.
