One of the most intriguing matchups in what should be an entertaining SEC/Big 12 Challenge will get started at 2 p.m. ET when the Texas Tech Red Raiders head on the road for a game against the LSU Tigers.
After a huge road win over the Texas Longhorns, Texas Tech (10-4, 6-3 Big 12) came up short in their last two games against the then-ranked No. 2 Baylor Bears and the 11th-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers earlier this week with a pair of postponed matchups in between the two losses. Mac McClung is having his best college season after spending two years with the Georgetown Hoyas and averages a team-high 17.2 points per game this season. The Red Raiders rank inside the top 25 in both offensive and defensive efficiency.
LSU (11-4, 6-3 SEC) snapped a two-game losing streak with a road win over the Texas A&M Aggies earlier this week. The Tigers closed out the game on an 18-0 run led by Cameron Thomas’ 28 points. He leads the team, putting up 22.1 points per game this season. LSU gets it done on the offensive end, ranking sixth in adjusted offensive efficiency. However on defense, the Tigers rank 139th in efficiency.

The Best Bet
This is an opportunity for Texas Tech to get right following a two-game losing streak and by boasting an offense that ranks in the top-25 in adjusted offensive efficiency, the potential is there for them to take advantage of a vulnerable LSU defense.
Pick: Texas Tech -3.5
