We go over the fantasy football outlook of Justin Herbert ahead of the Chargers Week 17 matchup against the Chiefs.

It’s week 17 in the NFL and most traditional fantasy leagues have wrapped up. But for those of you looking to exploit some matchups in daily fantasy, we got your back.

LA Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has a tough matchup this weekend against the Kansas City Chiefs defense.

Fantasy Football analysis: Chargers QB Justin Herbert

The Chiefs tend to pose an issue for quarterbacks, but this week is strange. Kansas City has already locked up the number one seed in the AFC playoff picture, so they will more than likely rest some starters for the majority, if not the entire, game.

Even if KC keeps the starters in all day, which is unlikely, Herbert still has a chance to put up points. In the first meeting between these two teams in Week 2, Herbert’s first career start, he actually outdueled Patrick Mahomes in raw yardage. Herbert threw for 311 yards and a score while completing 22 of his 33 pass attempts.

His last five games haven’t been stellar, but they haven’t been bad either. I expect a big game from him to close out the season as KC [probably] gives the starters the day off.
