Looking to squeeze one more week of production out of the Carolina Panthers’ top three wide receivers? Well, good news. The trio, some of them at least, offer fantasy football lineups a decent opportunity for some points this week as they close out the regular season against the New Orleans Saints.
Fantasy Football analysis: Panthers WRs Robby Anderson, D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel
Anderson has seen his production slide a bit over the last couple games. He had 39 yards last week, salvaging his day with a touchdown, after posting just 21 the week before that. The silver lining here is that he has 27 targets over his last three, keeping in the conversation as a WR3.
Moore had five catches on 10 targets last week with 37 yards, but the week before that he posted 131 yards on six catches. He’s up and down, but makes a solid WR3 option too.
The player I really like here is Samuel. He led the group with 106 yards on five catches last week, and he also added another 52 yards on seven rushing attempts. He’s going to get the chance to run the ball some more this week with both Christian McCaffrey and Mike Davis sitting out this week.
The Saints have a tough defense, but they have given up 17 touchdowns to opposing wide receivers this season. And the last time these two teams met, in Week 7, Moore led the way with 93 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Samuel had a rushing touchdown in that game too.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Robby Anderson is a WR3 this week. D.J. Moore is right on the line between a WR2/3, and I really like Curtis Samuel as a WR2 here, thanks to the running opportunities he’s going to have.
