Last week, for the first time in five games, Green Bay Packers tight end Robert Tonyan did not score a touchdown. He didn’t really need to since the Packers were finding other ways to score without their usual red zone threat. Fortunately for the fantasy football inclined, Tonyan has a great matchup this week, and looks like a safe bet to put into your lineups.
Fantasy Football analysis: Packers TE Robert Tonyan
Tonyan caught just one pass on two targets last week against the Titans, finishing with 17 yards. He only had 18 yards the week before that, but he did at least catch three passes in that one and find the end zone.
The Bears have been one of the NFL’s worst defenses against tight ends, and the last time these two teams squared off, back in Week 12, Tonyan had five catches on five targets for 67 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Robert Tonyan at tight end this week.
