UPDATE (2/5): Brown got his second full practice in on Friday and is listed as questionable, per Rick Stroud. The questionable tag is likely related to some swelling trouble in his knee, but with two full practices, he should be good to go for the Super Bowl. If tight end Cameron Brate is out or limited, it could be good for Brown’s usage as well.

UPDATE (2/4): Brown was able to return to full participation in Thursday’s practice, per James Palmer. This is a good sign, but Brown has been dealing with swelling in his injured knee and that is something they will likely need to monitor all the way to kickoff.

UPDATE (2/3): In what will be their first full practice this week, the Buccaneers will get a limited practice in from wide receiver Antonio Brown, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Brown was unable practice last week, so this is a good sign for his availability for the Super Bowl.

UPDATE (2/2): The Bucs had what head coach Bruce Arians described as a bonus walk-through day on Tuesday, per Jenna Laine. Antonio Brown took part, but Arians told the media Brown, Jordan Whitehead, and Antoine Winfield all remain question marks for the time being for Sunday’s game.

UPDATE (1/29): Each Super Bowl team releases a “final” injury report for the bye week in which they provide a status as if the game was happening in two days on Sunday, January 31. Brown is listed as doubtful based on that report. The Bucs return to practice next week.

UPDATE (1/29): Same as yesterday, Brown isn’t practicing, per Rick Stroud. This was the plan, so he still should be on track to play.

UPDATE (1/28): Brown was not at practice on Thursday, per the Tampa Bay Times Rick Stroud. He likely won’t be back at practice this week, as coach Arians said on Wednesday. Brown will probably wait until next Tuesday to give his knee a go and reports from then will be more helpful.

UPDATE (1/27): Coach Bruce Arians says that Winfield Jr. likely won’t practice during the bye week as he recovers from his ankle injury, per the Pewter Report. There won’t be much practicing this week as it is for the Buccaneers, so the rest shouldn’t put Brown at a disadvantage.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown will be able to play in the Super Bowl, per ESPN’s Dianna Russini. Brown was ruled out of the NFC Championship game with a knee injury which kept him out of practice the week of the game. The good news is that he didn’t suffer any structural damage to his knee and was considered day-to-day. So, the news that he will play likely means he was close to returning for the Conference Championship.

Brown played his first game of the season in Week 9 after coming off suspension. He was productive, but didn’t top 70 yards and find the end zone until Week 15. He did end the season with three strong games, as he caught 20 passes for 266 yards and four touchdowns.

He’ll still be behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin in the pecking order, but has proven that he could be a big piece of their offense, especially if the Chiefs are able to slow down Godwin and Evans.

His return will hurt the playing time of Scotty Miller and Tyler Johnson.
