UPDATE: Eric Fisher tore his Achilles Sunday evening, according to Ian Rapoport. Fisher will miss the Super Bowl and his 2021 season is likely in doubt.
As #Chiefs coach Andy Reid insinuated, LT Eric Fisher tore his Achilles last night and faces a long road of recovery, source said. KC heads to another Super Bowl, but it will do so without its standout O-lineman.
Kansas City Chiefs blindside left tackle Eric Fisher is out with an Achilles injury, per the team. When you hear Achilles injury, there usually isn’t a good timetable for his return. Fisher’s injury could easily keep him out of the Super Bowl and that would be a big blow to Kansas City.
With Fisher out Mike Remmers went to left tackle, while Stefen Wisniewski moved to right guard and Andrew Wiley to right tackle. The Chiefs can win without Fisher, but they will need to adjust their offensive game plan to compensate for his loss.
