The Chiefs edged out the Browns last week in their Divisional Round game by a score of 22-17 as they now turn focus to the Bills in the AFC Championship game. Star QB Patrick Mahomes left the game in the third quarter with a concussion after a big hit. While he’s still undergoing concussion protocol, he’s expected to play on Sunday although there’s no set timetable for a return from such an injury so anything could happen.
Fantasy Football analysis: Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, $8,000
Travis Kelce caught 8-for-11 last week against the Browns while logging 109 yards and adding a touchdown. Although there was a momentum shift after Mahomes left the game, Kelce was still effective with Chad Henne taking over at QB. Turning to this weekend, Buffalo has had trouble against tight ends all season long, allowing an average of 64.3 yards per game to opposing TEs. Kelce should still have a monster game even if Mahomes somehow isn’t cleared to play by this weekend, and he should be well worth his $8k price tag.
