What to do with John Brown in the AFC Championship

We go over the fantasy football and DFS outlook of John Brown ahead of the Bills matchup up against the Chiefs in the AFC Championship.

The Best of the Best: Who to roster at Wide Receiver

The Bills ousted the Ravens by a score of 17-3 in their Divisional Round game last week and will turn focus to the Chiefs this week in the AFC Championship game. John Brown played a decent role with 11 targets and averaged roughly 7.8 yards per catch. If he can perform again this weekend and help lift the Bills to a win over the Chiefs, they’ll be heading straight to Super Bowl LV.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bills WR John Brown, $4,300

Brown went 8-for-11 in catches last week against the Ravens, logging 62 yards but failing to find the end zone. It’s a pretty big improvement from his performance in the Bills’ wild card game against the Colts where he went 0-for-4 on the night. He was recently out for six weeks battling an ankle injury and a COVID-19 infection, but hopefully for his sake that’s all behind him and he can perform to his full potential for the rest of the playoffs. Depending on if Cole Beasley is back to full health or not, Brown could be a decent WR2 selection heading into this weekend. He could easily still be a gamble, though, as his up-and-down performances since his return to play have been inconsistent.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Brown should see a pretty decent workload, but if Cole Beasley is back to 100%, I wouldn’t pick Brown in my starting lineup especially when he’s $200 more expensive than Beasley.
