You don’t hear Tyler Johnson’s name very much, but with Antonio Brown out for Sunday’s NFC Championship game against the Green Bay Packers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will have to lean on him on a little more than usual. The question now is whether or not he makes a decent fantasy football play.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bucs WR Tyler Johnson, $3,000
Johnson had one catch for 15 yards in the Bucs’ Divisional round win over the New Orleans Saints last week, his only catch in Tampa’s two playoff games so far. During the regular season, he had a total of 12 catches on 17 targets with 169 yards and two touchdowns.
Johnson saw a little more work earlier in the season, before the Bucs added Brown. However, he’s only had more than two targets in a game once this season, and just two games with two targets. He’ll mostly likely be splitting looks with Scotty Miller this weekend.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
The price might be tempting as a bargain pick, but there’s just not much reason to justify having Johnson in a fantasy lineup this weekend. However, with Brown out, Miller’s value ($3,400) makes him worth a look.
