DraftKings Sportsbook has updated the odds for the 2020-21 John R. Wooden Award, given to the most outstanding men’s college basketball player by the Los Angeles Athletic Club.
At -1115, Iowa center Luke Garza is the odds-on favorite to win the award. Leading the No. 4 Hawkeyes, the senior has been dominant, averaging 26.9 points per game on 61 percent shooting from the field to go along with 8.9 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. The Washingon D.C. native is currently tops in the Kenpom.com Player of the Year standings with a 1.965 kPOY rating.
Other top contenders includes Baylor’s Jared Butler (16.7 ppg, 5.4 asp), Gonzaga’s Corey Krispert (20.9 ppg, 4.8 rpg) and Illinois guard Ayo Dosunmu (21.7 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 4.9 apg) among others.
The award will be announced after the completion of the NCAA Tournament in April. Dayton forward Obi Toppin won the award last year.
