How the betting lines have moved through the week for Bucs vs. Packers in the NFC Championship game

We look at how the betting odds for the NFC Championship game have moved since the Bucs and Packers advanced to the title game.

The Green Bay Packers host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday in the 2021 NFC Championship Game with a trip to Super Bowl 55 on the line. Green Bay is looking to return to the Super Bowl for the first time since winning it in 2010, while Tampa Bay is looking for their first trip back since winning it in 2002.

Oddsmakers work tirelessly to adjust to where the public is betting their money, and odds can fluctuate throughout the week as we get closer and closer to game time. Whether it’s injuries, coaching decisions or simply a large volume of the handle going on a particular side, line movement is a significant part of the sports betting game.

However, this week we’ve seen odds that have remain settled. Coming into Friday, the Packers are getting 71 percent of point spread handle, and the over is getting 77 percent of point total handle. The book would prefer an even mix on both sides of a line, but even a moderately one-sided handle does not mean the book will feel compelled to move it. The line sits at 3.5, which is just over the significant number of three. Numbers like three and seven are key for bettors, so it will take a look to move the line down to or below one of those numbers.
