If you’re thinking about maybe giving someone from the Atlanta Falcons backfield a chance in fantasy football this week, let me go ahead and stop you right there. The Falcons are using a three-man committee now, with the workload spread out enough to render each member unproductive in fantasy football. But just in case you’re still undecided here, let’s go ahead and dispel that notion.
Fantasy Football analysis: Falcons RBs Ito Smith, Brian Hill, Todd Gurley
Ito Smith now leads the backfield committee. Last week in a close game against the Chiefs, he had 10 carries for 46 yards and another five yards on one catch. Gurley had four carries and three catches for a total of 50 yards. Hill had 36 yards on the ground (seven carries) and 25 in the air (three catches.) That was actually one of the more productive games the Falcons running backs have had in quite some time. The last time anyone from this trio found the end zone was Smith in Week 12.
The Buccaneers are giving up just 3.17 yards per carry to opposing running backs, and they’ve only allowed eight rushing scores to the position all season.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Avoid all three of these players.
