What to do with Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, A.J. Dillon in Week 17 of the fantasy football playoffs

We go over the fantasy football outlook of Aaron Jones, A.J. Dillon ahead of the Packers Week 17 matchup against the Bears.

The Green Bay Packers enter the last week of the regular season with a three-headed monster at running back. That’s good thing for the Packers, but a slightly confusing situation for fantasy football. Let’s try to sort it out because there’s value in Green Bay’s backfield this week with a must-win game against the Bears on the line.

Fantasy Football analysis: Packers RBs Aaron Jones, A.J. Dillon, Jamaal Williams

It was rookie A.J. Dillion leading the way last week against the Titans. He saw a team-high 22 touches because Jones missed the first half dealing with a hip injury and Williams, the usual No. 2, was inactive with a quad issue. Dillion finished the game with 124 yards and two touchdowns on 21 rushing attempts. Jones did get some work in the second half, carrying the ball 10 times for 94 yards and adding another 14 yards on two catches.

The team made it clear that Jones is still the starter, so he should lead the backfield this week. In his last game against the Bears he had 90 yards on 17 carries. Williams had 17 carries in that one too, with 73 yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

But how are they going to divvy up the workload with Dillion clearly having earned a shot at more work? That’s anyone’s guess. I would fade Williams a it in this one. Dillion is a high-upside RB2 here. The question here is whether or not Jones sees a reduced workload to help him rest up a bit for the playoffs. He’s still a decent RB2 this wee.
