The eighth-ranked Creighton Bluejays will head on the road to take on a struggling Butler Bulldogs squad on Saturday afternoon. So far this, Creighton looks like a team that could make an NCAA Tournament run, while Butler is likely going to be on the outside looking in come March.

Creighton comes into this game with a 10-2 overall record including 6-1 in Big East play, second only to the Villanova Wildcats, which have only played in three conference games so far. The Bluejays won six in a row and are coming off a 97-79 home win over the St. John’s Red Storm. Creighton is led by a group of seniors and ranks 17th offensively, scoring 83.2 points per game.

Butler checks in at 3-7 overall including 2-5 in Big East play for a tie for eighth in the conference. The Bulldogs lost their last two games and are coming into this game with all sorts of injuries. According to the USA Today’s college basketball injury report, Bryce Golden is questionable with an ankle injury, and Chuck Harris missed the last game for a knee injury. The Bulldogs have won three straight games against Creighton at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Teams tend to play well in Hinkle Fieldhouse when they’re supposed to win, and the Bluejays are very much expected to win against a down Bulldogs team. We see plenty of points in our future.
