Friday update: Evans and Godwin were taken off the final injury report. Both should be a full go against the Saints this weekend.
Thursday update: Evans and Godwin were limited once again on Thursday.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers Chris Godwin and Mike Evans were both limited in Wednesday, per the injury report. Getting them limited work this early in the week is a good sign they will be off the injury report by the time the game comes around, but even if they end up questionable, they should be on track to play after both getting in full snaps in the Wild Card game against Washington.
Mike Evans hyperextended his leg in Week 17, but was able to play through the injury and put up six receptions on ten targets for 119 yards. Godwin is dealing with hip and quad injuries, and caught five of his 12 targets for 79 yards and a touchdown last week. Godwin uncharacteristically had multiple drops in that game, but history shows us that should be an outlier.
The Buccaneers take on the Saints in the Divisional Round, who have held Tom Brady and the their passing offense down in both of their matchups this season. They have been playing better of late and there should be some fireworks from Brady and company, but with three stud receivers to choose from, somebody could be left out.
