We have a running list of Chiefs players placed on the COVID-IR list during the 2021 NFL playoffs. These players either tested positive for coronavirus or were designated a close contact.

The Kansas City Chiefs will host their third consecutive AFC Championship game in the 2021 NFL Playoffs. They’ll face the Buffalo Bills, with the game is scheduled for Sunday, January 24th. Kickoff is at 6:40 p.m. ET and the game will air on CBS.

COVID-19 has created roster issues for every single team in the NFL. For the 2020 season, the NFL created a Reserve/COVID-19 list, similar to the Injured Reserve list. Players are placed on the “COVID IR” when they test positive or have been in close contact with someone who tested positive for the coronavirus. As the 2021 NFL Playoffs begin, this list could have a significant impact on coaching, staff and player availability through the post-season.

Here, we’ll track which players have been placed on the reserve list from the Chiefs.
