Thursday update: Donald got in a limited practice session on Thursday and was removed from the final injury report. He’ll likely be somewhat limited on Saturday due to his rib injury, but he will play.

Tuesday PM update: Rams head coach Sean McVay was asked about Donald’s status for Saturday and he told the media, “Unless something unforeseen happens, the Terminator will be ready.”

Tuesday update: Aaron Donald doesn’t practice on Tuesday, per the injury report. Donald is expected to play through his ribs injury, but will likely get rest heading into the Divisional Round.

Monday update: Donald has been diagnosed with torn rib cartilage, but will play through the painful injury against the Packers on Saturday, per Ian Rapoport.

Los Angeles Rams star pass rusher Aaron Donald suffered a rib injury in his team’s Wild Card Round matchup with the Seattle Seahawks. He left in the third quarter and did not return after tackling Russell Wilson and having the Seahawks QB land on his ribs.

However, all signs point to him playing against the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round. Sean McVay said Sunday that he doesn’t expect the injury to affect Donald’s game-day status. The x-rays on Donald’s ribs came back negative so there’s a good chance he’ll take the field.

Donald generated plenty of pressure against the Seahawks and sacked Russell Wilson twice. He’ll be an important part of LA’s game plan in the second round of the playoffs, Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams might be the most formidable QB-WR battery in the NFL. The Rams have a capable secondary with Jalen Ramsey running the show but it could use a boost on the defensive line on the road at Lambeau Field.
