Philadelphia 76ers All-Star PG Ben Simmons did not travel with the team to Atlanta for Monday’s game vs. the Hawks. He will instead hang back in Philly and receive treatment on his knee, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. Simmons missed Saturday’s game vs. the Denver Nuggets due to a injury along with Joel Embiid.

With Simmons out and considered day-to-day, the Sixers will sort of be in a bind. They’re dealing with a bit of a Covid-19 outbreak after Seth Curry tested positive last week. That forced plenty of regulars into quarantine. They only had 7 players available for Saturday’s loss to Denver. With Simmons out again, it just means we get to watch 40+ minutes of Tyrese Maxey again, which we all should be fine with really. He scored a career-high 39 points in Saturday’s loss after playing 44 minutes.
