Game status: Michael Thomas is ACTIVE for the Wild Card round.
The New Orleans Saints will get a key weapon back for their Wild Card round game against the Chicago Bears. The team activated wide receiver Michael Thomas off the injured reserve list after he had missed the minimum three games. He suffered a high ankle sprain that had slowed him and it is unclear just how healthy he is.
Fantasy impact: Michael Thomas (ankle)
Thomas is the Saints best receiver by a long shot, but the ankle is a concern. He was starting to pick up some steam in November before missing Week 15 through 17. In six games after his return from injury, Thomas caught 37 passes for 421 yards but no scores.
This is a tough call for DFS lineups. He’s the fourth highest priced receiver ($15,000) in Bears-Saints Showdown, and I think you’re better suited going with Allen Robinson ($14,400) if you want a receiver on your roster. That being said, would anybody be surprised to see Thomas get a lot of looks from Brees?
