The Alabama Crimson Tide have opened as seven-point favorites to win the College Football Playoff Championship Game in Miami on January 11th at Hard Rock Stadium. Circa Sports in Las Vegas was one of the first to post a number, and did so early in the third quarter of the Sugar Bowl.

The line has moved to 6.5 just after the final gun in New Orleans at DraftKings Sportsbook:

The Tide rolled 31-14 over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Rose Bowl earlier on Friday, and Ohio State leads Clemson 35-21 in the Sugar Bowl as we write this.

The total has been set a whopping 77 points, with the Tide as -260 on the moneyline, and the Buckeyes at +220.

While Alabama easily beat Notre Dame by 17-points after jumping out to a 21-0 lead in the Rose Bowl, they didn’t cover: A one-yard touchdown run from Irish quarterback Ian Book with under a minute remaining made the difference, as the 19.5-to-20-point spread seen everywhere all week didn’t come through for any Bama backers.
