Gus Edwards downgraded to questionable for Week 17

The Ravens RB2 is dealing with a back injury heading into a must win matchup with the Bengals.

Baltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards was limited in practice on Friday, per the Baltimore Sun’s Jonas Shaffer. He is listed as questionable on the final injury report with a back injury. The Ravens need a win to assure themselves a playoff spot, so we will likely see Edwards as a game-time decision.

Edwards has seen an uptick in work since Mark Ingram has been inactive, but J.K. Dobbins has taken over the lead back role. If Edwards can’t go, we would likely see Ingram active again to take on his role, but Dobbins would continue to be the lead back.

Dobbins did leave last week’s game late with a chest injury, but said later that he was just tired. He has practiced in full this week and is ready to roll against the Bengals.

The Ravens are in the playoffs with a win, but if they were to lose, they could get in if the resting Steelers beat the Browns or the Colts lose to a one-win Jaguars team. Those aren’t the best scenarios, so a win against the Bengals is their best shot.
