Celtics getting majority of action in elimination Game 6 vs. Raptors

The Boston Celtics probably should have won their second-round series against the Toronto Raptors by now. Had it not been for a prayer by OG Anunoby, the Celtics would already have a date set with the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals. Instead, the Raptors won Game 3 and 4 to tie the series. Boston came back and dominated in Game 5 to make it 3-2. Now, the Celtics will look to finish off the defending champs on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. ET. Here’s a look at the betting splits and how they break down via DraftKings Sportsbook.

These splits were forwarded over in the afternoon, so there could be some movement before tip-off. With the spread only 3.5 in favor of Boston, a heavy majority of the handle and bets are going toward the Celtics. Three of five games have been tight in the series and the two that weren’t, were blowouts by Boston.

The O/U is pretty low at 209.5, but this series hasn’t had many high scoring efforts. With the season on the line for Toronto, they should tighten things up on defense and the rotation in general. It also hurts the Raps that Serge Ibaka could be sidelined. In general, the Celtics play on defense has thwarted the Raptors to 100 or fewer points in four of five games.

The moneyline handle and betting percentages are slightly lower than the spread, mostly because of the juice. With the season on the line, there’s a decent contingent that thinks Toronto will show up and force a Game 7. I’m a little skeptical at this point, especially after Game 5 and knowing Ibaka isn’t 100%.
