The Los Angeles Clippers will look to take a commanding 3-1 lead in their second-round series against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night in the NBA bubble. The Clippers are coming off a close victory in Game 3 led by 32 points by Paul George, who finally showed up after struggling for most of the first round. The Nuggets had Nikola Jokic on the injury report as questionable prior to Game 3, but he was fine, scoring 32 points with 12 boards and 8 assists. Captain’s Pick
Nikola Jokic ($16,200)
The wrist injury seems like nothing for Jokic, so I’m not too concerned rolling him out as Captain here. He’s dropped 60+ DKFP in back-to-back games for the Nuggets. It’s clear the Clippers don’t really have an answer for Jokic’s ability to stretch the floor. He’s knocked down 7 long distance shots the past two games. On top of that he has 30 boards and 12 assists. He’s just doing it all and right now his price is still pretty reasonable.
Fade of the Game
Michael Porter Jr. ($6,400)
I’m not really buying into the Game 3 from MPJ. He had 18 points and 10 rebounds on 8-of-17 shooting from the floor. It wasn’t efficient by any means and it was more of a result of Jamal Murray having an off game. So the expectation for Porter is more toward what he had been doing earlier in the playoffs as opposed to in Game 3. I’d still prefer Porter be priced down around $5-6K, so until then I only really like him as a leverage play.
Value Picks
Gary Harris ($5,200) — Until Harris’ price gets up in the $6K range, there’s really no reason not to consider him as a strong value here. He’s coming off his best fantasy outing of the playoffs with 28.75 DKFP. His defense is invaluable to the Nuggets having to deal with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Harris also played 35 minutes, his highest total this postseason. With that in mind, I still think there’s room for Harris to build off of last game.
Patrick Beverley ($3,600) — We’re running it back with the same value picks because the prices are still really great on these guards. Pat Bev is still priced down and he should continually get more minutes. He got up to 21 minutes in Game 3 and my guess is that goes up again tonight. If that’s the case, we can expect more return on investment. Beverley had 20.5 points in Game 3 and his price went down.
