Best lineup strategy for Bucks vs. Heat Game 5 NBA Showdown

The Milwaukee Bucks were able to keep their season alive with a gusty Game 4 OT win without Giannis Antetokounmpo for an entire half. The Miami Heat faltered down the stretch offensively and have given the Bucks some new life. Now it seems like a series again despite the Heat being up 3-1. Giannis is questionable due to the ankle injury. Tyler Herro and Jae Crowder are also banged up for Miami now. Captain’s Pick

Jimmy Butler ($15,000)

This feels a lot like a Jimmy game with the Heat coming off the tough loss. Butler was pretty bad down the stretch on offense and Miami as a team didn’t have that same intensity from the previous games. Butler is now cheaper than Khris Middleton ($15,600) despite having an infinitely better series and playoffs. I expect Butler to be more aggressive on offense and do more facilitating like he has in the second half of games. His price also came down slightly since the last two games, one of which he posted 49.75 DKFP.

Fade of the Game

Goran Dragic ($8,800)

I’ve been a big Dragic fan these playoffs but things seem to be at a crossroads. Dragic is coming off his worst game of the postseason, shooting 5-of-17 from the floor and 1-of-9 from distance. Eric Bledsoe is getting to him and for some reason Dragic’s price is up $400 from last contest. I’m worried these games will get a bit tighter. The only reason I’d reconsider this fade is if Tyler Herro is sidelined.

Value Picks

Duncan Robinson ($5,200) — This is more of an anticipatory pick if Herro and/or Crowder is sidelined. I also think after Game 4 we might see some adjustments from Erik Spoelstra. Late in games it was odd to see Dragic in there struggling while he’s more of a defensive liability and couldn’t shoot. Robinson has some more size and is a much better shooter. Robinson is also coming off one of his better shooting performances of the playoffs, going 6-for-12 from downtown for 20 points (35.25 DKFP).

Kendrick Nunn ($1,600) — At this point, only play Nunn if Crowder or Herro is out — preferably Herro. Nunn would likely pick up some of Herro’s minutes along with Andre Iguodala. Again, this is a very risky play unless the Heat are shorthanded. Nunn hasn’t really done anything in any game this postseason. We’re grasping at straws for value, though. Nunn at this price wouldn’t need to do much to return value, plus he gives us the ability to pay up.
