We head back to majestic Denver, the Mile High City, for Game 3 of the Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Clippers second-round series. Sike. We’re still in the NBA bubble in Orlando. We’ll pretend it’s Denver though and that the Nuggets stole home court advantage from the Clippers. There’s a tiny bit of news we’re waiting on before this game. Nikola Jokic (wrist) is questionable to play. Let’s take a look at some DraftKings Showdown picks for the contest, which locks at 9:00 p.m. ET.
Set your DraftKings lineup here.
Lou Williams ($11,700)
This just feels like a Lou Will game. Last series, Williams showed up in Game 4 and dropped 36 points. Lou Will had one of his worst shooting games this season in Game 2, going 6-of-16 and 0-for-6 from downtown in the loss. There’s no way that repeats on Labor Day. We know the type of ceiling Williams is capable of and I think Doc Rivers will try and get him going for some punch off the bench.
Fade of the Game
Jerami Grant ($7,200)
Grant is for whatever reason priced up after Game 2? He only had 28.75 DKFP on 5 points, 7 boards, 4 blocks and 2 steals. So it was more of a result of Grant playing a ton and filling the stat sheet. Grant shot the ball miserably, going 1-of-9 from the field and 0-for-5 from 3-point range. That doesn’t instill much confidence when he’s priced this high. Sure, the minutes are there, but the upside just isn’t.
Gary Harris ($5,000) — Harris played a bubble-high 29 minutes in Game 2. He hit 4-of-7 three-pointers and it was probably his best game in a while. Harris should build off of that and I think his minutes will only go up as he gets more comfortable coming back from injury. His price is still pretty affordable and I think we get a good ceiling play here.
Patrick Beverley ($4,200) — I’m going to go back to Pat Bev despite the bad Game 2. He’s either hurt and shouldn’t be playing at all or he’s going to get extended at some point. The Clippers need his defense desperately on Jamal Murray. Once Beverley starts getting more minutes, this price will rise.
