The 146th Kentucky Derby is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, and will have a post time of 7:01 p.m. live from Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. Tiz The Law won the Belmont Stakes, and has looked unstoppable as of late in the lead-up to today’s contest. He’s 4-0 this season, cruising to victory by 3.75 lengths at the Belmont, and then at the Travers Stakes at Saratoga by 5.5. With over $2 million in earnings just this season, he’s the favorite for a reason.
But with co-favorites Honor A.P. and Authentic also breaking from as far as the rail as possible, watch the horses on the far outside as they leave the starting gate. How the three on the outside make it down the front stretch could be crucial in determining who goes home with the second leg of the Triple Crown in 2020.
