We should go heading into this game with another team in a 3-0 hole. Instead, we have the Raptors with new life thanks to OG Anunoby’s buzzer beater in Game 3. So the defending champs will enter Saturday down 2-1 and with hope to tie the series up. The Raptors have played miserable and have limped up to this point in the series. If the shooting can turn around, things could be different this evening. Let’s go over some DraftKings Showdown picks for the contest, which starts at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Captain’s Pick
Jaylen Brown ($12,600)
Brown appears to be the player trending in the right direction in terms of value at Captain. He’s coming off 44.5 DKFP in the loss in Game 3 thanks to a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds. Brown has stepped it up on defense and because the Celtics are running small, he gets way more rebounding opportunities. Brown hasn’t needed to score much to be productive, which is a plus. He’s more than capable of dropping 30+ points on the Raptors. I like the ceiling/floor combo with salary savings.
Fade of the Game
Pascal Siakam ($9,400)
This was a tough decision between Siakam and Fred VanVleet ($8,800) because both are capable of going off. Siakam has looked awful in this series overall. He can’t score. His shot isn’t falling and he’s making a lot of sloppy mistakes. If he cleans that up, great, we probably get more of an All-Star looking performance. I don’t know if it’s going to happen against such a strong defensive team. So paying up for Siakam (and even FVV) seems risky at this point. I’d rather take a safer play in Kyle Lowry or look at the Celtics boys to bounce back.
Value Picks
Marc Gasol ($4,600) — I’ll admit I’ve done a lot of yelling at Gasol through the TV lately. He has looked more than a step slow on defense and seems pretty done. He had an OK Game 3 despite some obvious defensive slip ups. If Nick Nurse is going to ride Gasol instead of Serge Ibaka and Normal Powell, we have to look at who is getting more minutes. At this price, I think there’s still some value in Gasol.
Robert Williams ($4,200) — Williams’ price has risen to the point where he’s almost not worth it. The one saving grace for Time Lord is he’s a great rebounder and the Raptors have been soft on the glass against a smaller team. Williams has been getting run as the backup PF/C behind Daniel Theis. Time Lord has played well enough for me to trust rolling him out again.
