What to do with Terry McLaurin, Steven Sims in Week 3 fantasy football

Washington faces a shaky Browns team that has a banged up secondary. We break down fantasy football considerations for Terry McLaurin and Steven Sims.

The Washington Football Team has been hit or miss through two weeks, but the passing game is showing some life. Wide receiver Terry McLaurin had an unexpected breakout season a year ago as a third round pick and is off to a solid start building on it. Steven Sims joined Washington as a UDFA and put together a decent season as the team’s third-leading receiver.

This season, McLaurin has caught 12 receptions for 186 yards and a touchdown, and is tied with Logan Thomas for a team-leading 17 targets. Sims has caught six of eight targets for 103 yards. Sims missed practice on Wednesday due to a toe injury, but was a full participant by Friday. He’s listed as questionable but should be good to go.

Fantasy Football analysis: Washington WRs Terry McLaurin, Steven Sims

Washington faces the Browns in Week 3, and opportunity is developing. The Browns have given up the fifth most fantasy points to wide receivers and now could be down their top cornerback. Denzel Ward suffered a groin injury in practice on Thursday and was a DNP on Friday. He’s listed as questionable, and even if he does play, he could be limited.

The Browns do get Kevin Johnson back this week, which is a boost, but a limited or absent Ward adds some value for Washington’s receivers. Not enough to make either a clear must-start, but it could boost your lineup if you’re a little short at the receiver position this weekend.
