The Seattle Seahawks are “letting Russ cook” through two weeks of the 2020 NFL season, and the results are impressive. Wilson has thrown for 610 yards and nine touchdowns, and his top two receivers are the big beneficiaries. Tyler Lockett leads the team with 15 receptions on 16 targets, and has 159 yards and one touchdown. DK Metcalf has eight receptions on 14 targets and leads the team with 187 receiving yards. He has two receiving touchdowns, which is second to Chris Carson’s three such scores.
Seattle hosts the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3, and it could provide some solid opportunities for the Seahawks pass catchers. Last week against the Cowboys, Calvin Ridley caught seven passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns, and Russell Gage added six receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown. The week before, Robert Woods caught six receptions for 105 yards.
Fantasy Football analysis: Seahawks WRs Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, David Moore
David Moore is getting some looks in the passing game, but this is the Lockett and Metcalf show. Moore is only useful in the deepest of leagues.
Lockett is getting more looks and receptions, and while he makes a lot of sense in PPR leagues, he has developed a solid floor in all formats. Metcalf has caught four passes in each of the first two games, while also surpassing 90 yards and catching a touchdown in each game. Through two weeks he’s looking like a great option across the board. If he can maintain his yards production, he doesn’t need to worry about the scores to guarantee value each week. That being said, his potential in the red zone is what could turn him into an elite fantasy producer.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Metcalf as WR2 in all formats, with WR1 potential there.
Start Lockett as WR2 in PPR leagues, WR2/flex in standard leagues
Sit Moore outside the deepest of leagues
