What to do with Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp in Week 3 fantasy football

The Rams have a tough matchup against the Bills this week, making it difficult to predict production for their top two receivers.

Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp are about as good as it gets for a one-two punch at wide receiver. The Los Angeles Rams duo each topped 1,100 yards last season and combined for 12 touchdowns. So far this season, through two games, they’ve been trading off production numbers. This week, they have a tough one against the Bills.

Fantasy Football analysis: Rams WRs Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp

Woods had a big week in the opener, going for 105 yards six catches. Kupp only had 40 yards in that one. Last week, Kupp had the edge, catching five passes for 81 yards, while Woods had just 14 yards on two catches. The thing that helped Woods’ numbers last week was a rushing touchdown. He has a slight edge in targets over Kupp, 13 to 11, but both are key pieces in an offense that can put up big points.

The Bills defense isn’t giving opposing wide receivers much room to work, but teams have found production. Buffalo has allowed a receiver to score in both of their games so far, and that was against lesser teams like the Jets and Dolphins.

Woods and Kupp can both be productive this week, though it’s hard to know which one might have an edge for fantasy purposes. Woods is likely a better option than Kupp, but it’s hard to take either player out of lineups. Woods is also slightly cheaper in DFS leagues, costing $6,100 compared to $6,300 for his teammate in DraftKings leagues this week.
