How the public is betting Packers vs. Saints

The Packers are headed to New Orleans for Sunday Night Football. Here’s a look at where bettors are placing their money in this game.

NFL: Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

The third Sunday of the NFL season will finish up with the Green Bay Packers traveling to play the New Orleans Saints on Sunday Night Football. Green Bay will enter the game with a 2-0 record following a pair of impressive offensive performances, while the Saints will show up 1-1 looking to even the 2020 record among the two teams. The game will get started at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.

Aaron Rodgers put together two fantastic games, albeit against teams that appear to not be very good early in the season. The Packers beat the Minnesota Vikings on the road 43-34 to open the season and took down the Detroit Lions 42-21 in the home opener last week. On the other hand, the Saints are coming off a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders 34-24 after taking down Tom Brady and the Buccaneers 34-23 to begin the season.

As of Saturday morning, the Saints come in as three-point favorites with the over/under set at 53, according to DraftKings Sportsbook. On the moneyline, Green Bay’s odds are at +143, while the Saints have -162 odds to win.

Let’s take a look at where betting money is going so far on DraftKings.

Packers @ Saints betting splits

Sports bettors are going all in on the point total in this game.

Of all the bets placed on the point total, 90% of the wagers are coming in on the over 53 points. The over is also seeing a ton of the handle on its side with 88% of the money on the over. Both teams hit the over in four of their last five games coming into Sunday night.

As far as the spread, the money and bets are going to the side of Green Bay. It makes sense since the Packers’ offense has been rolling for two weeks. Additionally in the final game of Week 2, Drew Brees didn’t play his best and national TV games get amplified more than they should. The Packers are being bet to cover the three points 77% of the time, and 67% of the money is also residing with Green Bay.

Of the moneyline bets coming in, 86% of bets are also coming in on the Packers, and 94% of the money is going Green Bay’s side.
