With Cam Akers ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday with a rib injury, it opens up a golden opportunity for Darrell Henderson and/or Malcolm Brown to see some increased playing time.

Who will see the most touches? Which of Los Angeles Rams running back will be the most effective this weekend? Let’s dive into what fantasy owners can expect from this backfield.

Fantasy Football analysis: Rams RBs Darrell Henderson, Malcolm Brown

Akers exited last Sunday’s game after three carries, and the touches between Henderson and Brown were fairly split. Henderson received 12 carries, while Brown saw 11 in the game. However, Henderson was more effective with his attempts. Aided by a 40-yard yard run, Henderson finished with 81 yards rushing and a touchdown, while Brown totaled 47 yards on the ground. Henderson also caught two passes for 40 yards.

With the similar split in carries, it seems likely that will be the case once again heading into the weekend, making it difficult to project for fantasy owners. Brown is currently dealing with a surgically repaired finger, though he is expected to play.

The Rams will see the Bills’ defense that allowed less than 100 yards rushing to the Miami Dolphins in Week 2.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

With both backs seeing a similar amount of work, fantasy owners might just be guessing at this point. However, let’s roll with Henderson since he appears to be the healthier back and was more effective last week. Use him as a third running black or flex option with Brown valued slightly behind.
