What to do with Brandin Cooks, Will Fuller in Week 3 fantasy football

Will either receiver merit consideration for your lineup this week?

With Deshaun Watson at quarterback, at least one of the Houston Texans’ receiving twosome of Will Fuller and Brandin Cooks will usually have a productive game, at least from a fantasy standpoint. The question is which one?

Fantasy Football analysis: Texans WRs Brandin Cooks, Will Fuller

Fuller is unquestionably the best receiver on the team. He came out of the gate strong this season with a 112-yard effort against the Chiefs. But last week he spent most of the game on the sidelines with the training staff, finishing the day with nothing on the stat sheet. Instead, Cooks filled in for the No. 1 role, catching five passes for 95 yards.

Fortunately for Fuller, there’s no indication that his injury is a problem that will linger into this week’s game against the Steelers. He hasn’t been listed on the team’s injury report at all. Cooks has, however, dealing with a quad issue that’s limited him in practice. He is, however, expected to play this week.

For fantasy purposes, Fuller is still worth a spot in your lineup, even with a difficult opponent on the schedule. Houston will be forced to throw the ball a lot in this game, and Fuller is unquestionably the more talented of the two receivers. There’s some upside to Cooks as a Flex option this week, but that feels a little risky if there are better options available.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Will Fuller. Sit Brandin Cooks.
