We’re long past the days of A.J. Green being an automatic, must-start player in fantasy football. Age and injuries have taken a toll, not to mention the emergence of Tyler Boyd and the team spending a second-round pick this year on Tee Higgins. But with a favorable matchup this week, could any one or all three of those players be good for fantasy lineups?
Fantasy Football analysis: Bengals WRs A.J. Green, Tyler Boyd, Tee Higgins
Green had a terrible outing last week against the Browns. Targeted 13 times, he was only able to bring in three of those throws, for a total of 29 yards. Boyd had a much better day, catching seven of eight passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. Higgins caught three balls on six targets, his first catches of the season, for 35 yards.
This week against the Eagles, all three have the chance to post big numbers. The best option here, or at least the most reliable for fantasy purposes, is Boyd. Although Green has more targets from rookie QB Joe Burrow, Boyd’s catching more of the balls that come his way. Higgins’ day will come, but he’s a little too much of an unknown to trust in fantasy at this point.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Boyd. Sit Green and Higgins.
