What to do with Mitchell Trubisky in Week 3 fantasy football

Mitchell Trubiskyhas an optimal matchup against the Falcons’ abysmal defense in Week 3.

We’re two weeks into the 2020 NFL season and Mitchell Trubisky has managed to maintain his position as the Chicago Bears’ starting quarterback. Chicago has had a pair of close games, but is entering Week 3 with a 2-0 record. The Atlanta Falcons are up next on the Bears’ schedule, and there’s a decent chance Trubisky will put up a solid fantasy line against them.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky

Trubisky has’t posted amazing numbers this season, as he’s tallied 432 passing yards with five touchdowns and two interceptions while completing 59.4 percent of his passes. The Falcons are trying their best to have the worst pass defense in the NFL this season though. Atlanta has given up 772 passing yards in 2020. Only the Seattle Seahawks have been worse against the pass. The Falcons have been especially bad when it comes to defending the long ball, as they’ve already given up 10 receptions of at least 20 yards. This matchup is more about how bad Atlanta is than how good Trubisky is, but the fourth-year quarterback could put up his best stat line of the year if Atlanta continues to be this incompetent on the defensive end.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Trubisky because of Atlanta’s inability to stop anyone. This could be a ceiling game for Trubisky, and that’s hard to pass up.
