Game status: Golladay is ACTIVE for Week 3.
Game day update: Golladay is questionable but expected to make his season debut vs. the Cardinals, according to Ian Rapoport. He’s worth starting if active.
Kenny Golladay is a little closer to making his season debut this week, but there’s still a bit of uncertainty around his status for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. The Detroit Lions have been forced to keep their No. 1 receiver on the sidelines so far this season with a hamstring injury.
This week’s he’s listed as questionable. Although Golladay himself is optimistic that he’ll be able to play, we still don’t know for certain what his actual status will be. The Lions don’t play until 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday.
Fantasy impact: Kenny Golladay injury
Golladay’s hamstring injury goes back to the early part of this month, before the season even started. Coming off an incredible 1,190 season with 11 touchdowns, hopes were high for Babytron heading into this year.
This is a tough spot for fantasy owners, made that much more difficult by the fact that it’s a late afternoon kickoff on Sunday. If Golladay does play, he won’t be at full health. Still, this is juicy matchup that he could put up decent numbers even if he doesn’t see the same kind of workload you’d normally expect from a No. 1 receiver.
