The Miami Hurricanes are riding high after an impressive showing against the Louisville Cardinals, while the Florida State Seminoles are looking for a bounce-back win after a season-opening loss.
Miami beat Louisville 47-34 on Saturday night in the first game among ranked opponents so far in the 2020 season. The Hurricanes moved up to No. 12 in the latest rankings. Louisville struggled to stop Miami’s offense as D’Eriq King threw for 325 yards and three touchdowns in the game. Running back Cam’Ron Harris rushed for 134 yards on nine carries with a touchdown.
Florida State is heading into its second game in the Mike Norvell era. Unfortunately, he tested positive for the coronavirus and will not be traveling to Miami for the game. That’s a tough loss for the Seminoles, which put together a poor showing in their season opener, a 16-13 loss to Georgia Tech. Quarterback James Blackman threw for 198 yards on 23 of 43 passing with a touchdown and interception. He also lost a pair of fumbles in the loss.
The Hurricanes won the last three games of this series including a 27-10 road win in 2019.

The Best Bet
Yes it’s not a fun way to bet, we’re going to go with the under in this one. It’s tough to find a reason Florida State’s offense would improve drastically, and Miami’s 47 points against Louisville is a bit deceiving as plenty of those were scored with nobody even close to the Hurricanes’ pass catchers on plays that were clearly busted coverages.
Pick: Under 53.5
