Zubaira Tukhugov, Ludovit Klein both miss weight for UFC 253

Another UFC Fight Island card, another pair of fighters miss weight. But this time it was two guys that both were supposed to compete at featherweight, and instead of coming in at the limit of 146 lbs. or less, they both tipped the scales at exactly 150 lbs.

Maybe they should fight each other instead?

Zubaira Tukhugov missed the mark for his bout with Hakeem Dawodu on the main card, and Ludovit Klein did the same for his preliminary bout with Shane Young. Usually misses this egregious force 30% of the purse to be forfeited from the person that came in over to the fighter that didn’t, but there are no details released at this time.

Since the UFC’s official website says Young is fighting Nate Landwehr, but that was scratched last week due to a positive Covid-19 by Landwehr, we won’t hold our breath for an official release anytime soon.

Also the main event of Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa saw Costa take out a white belt and throw it at the champion during the face-offs after the weigh-in.

Just another day in Abu Dhabi for the promotion.
