Week 3 of the 2020 NFL season is underway, and 15 games remain to be played following Thursday’s matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins. DraftKings Sportsbook has odds and lines for Week 3 matchups available, and we’ll go over the betting splits and latest odds for some of those here.
The Indianapolis Colts are surprisingly the biggest favorites of Week 3 at -530, as they’ll be up against the skeleton crew New York Jets (+420). New York has been ravaged by injuries and could be without Jamison Crowder, Breshad Perriman, and multiple starting offensive linemen. The public is completely behind the Colts, who command 94 percent of the handle and 96 percent of the total bets on moneyline wagers.
Bettors appear to think the matchup between the Buffalo Bills (-130) and Los Angeles Rams (+119). Both teams are 2-0 and have managed to get there in very different ways. Buffalo leads the NFL in passing yards while the Rams have rushed the ball more than every team but the Los Angeles Chargers. Injuries to multiple Los Angeles running backs could make Jared Goff air the ball out a little but more against a Bills team that hasn’t been great defensively this season. Buffalo is a 2.5-point favorite but has 41 percent of the handle on moneyline bets. The Rams command 68 percent of the total bets and have a decent shot at getting the upset in my opinion.
Week 3 will be wrapped up by an exciting Monday Night Football matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs. Everyone wants to see a quarterback showdown between the NFL’s last two MVPs — Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs edged out the Ravens 33-28 when these teams last met in 2019, but are underdogs at +170. They struggled against the Chargers’ sturdy defense in Week 2, and Baltimore (-195) might have an even better defensive unit. However, bettors favor the defending champs heavily. Kansas City has 75 percent of the handle and 74 percent of the total bets on moneyline wagers. Fans are expecting a shootout, as 97 percent of the handle on total points bets were placed on the over of 54 points.
