Later in the night the light heavyweight belt will more than likely be given away, but before that we’ll see two light heavyweights in a preliminary bout as William Knight will take on Aleksa Camur in UFC 253 live in Abu Dhabi and available on pay-per-view.
While it may not be the most well-known fight of the night, William “Knightmare” Knight is bound to make it one of the best. Knight has eight wins in his MMA career and all eight have come via knockout. The 32-year-old makes his UFC with no experience at this level, making his debut on Saturday. Knight comes out swinging, notching 6.61 significant strikes per minutes with 78 percent accuracy. While that sounds great, he takes 4.42 strikes per minute and defends just 30 percent of them.
Aleksa Camur will be fighting in the UFC for just his second time. He defeated Justin Ledet in his debut, the only fight he has seen go the distance. Camur turned 25 today, so his UFC career may be just about to take off. He throws 5.96 strikes per minute on 53 percent accuracy, yet absorbs 2.45 on 66 percent accuracy.
We can see he’s still an aggressive fighter, but possibly doesn’t swing for the fences as much as Knight. Either way, this bout is going to be entering as Camur is entering undefeated, 6-0 with five knockouts.
