The New York Jets were without wide receiver Jamison Crowder in Week 2 due to a hamstring injury, and it seems unlikely he’ll be back in Week 3. Head coach Adam Gase told the media on Thursday that Crowder is doubtful for this week, according to Rich Cimini.
Crowder apparently suffered the injury last week, listed as limited on the Week 2 Wednesday report, and then a DNP on Thursday and Friday. He did not practice on Wednesday, and while the Jets don’t have to report his final status until Friday, it seems likely he ends up being ruled out entirely.
His absence means the Jets will roll out Chris Hogan, Braxton Berrios, and Josh Malone for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. Hogan and Berrios offer some modest flex value in deeper fantasy football leagues. They combined for 12 receptions, 134 yards, and a touchdown last week against the 49ers. They’re not going to be the most consistent options, but they’re not worth ignoring entirely just because the Jets are a bad team.
