The NFL is back for Week 3 and kicks things off on Thursday Night Football with the Jacksonville Jaguars hosting the Miami Dolphins. The Battle of Florida gets going at 8:20 p.m. ET and will air on NFL Network.
The season-opening Thursday game was on NBC and most of the 2020 TNF slate will air simultaneously on FOX, Amazon Prime, and NFL Network. However, for Weeks 2, 3, and 4 the games are airing exclusively on NFL Network.
Some basic cable packages offer NFL Network, but some cable providers put it on a higher-priced sports tier. If you don’t have access to it, or you won’t be in front of a television tonight, but still want to watch the game, there are some options for getting a live stream. If you have YouTube TV or FuboTV, you can find NFL Network.
If you don’t have any of those servivces, there are free trials you can use. YouTube TV offers a two-week trial, while FuboTV offers a one-week trial. You could try FuboTV for one week of TNF and then YouTube TV for the next two games, or vice versa. Once we get through Week 4 though, TNF will be back on regular broadcast television.
The two teams involved have a host of questions surrounding them, but this could still turn into a fun game. Ryan Fitzpatrick and Gardner Minshew are not quarterbacks to build a franchise around, but they both can sling it and put up some big numbers. I think we could see this turn into a bit of a shootout. Consider the over, and I think this might be worth dedicating some viewing time Thursday evening.
