What to do with Mike Gesicki in Week 3 fantasy football

Can Gesicki build on a monster performance from Week 2 to steal the spotlight in Week 3 as well?

Game update: Gesicki caught his first pass of the game in the second quarter, and it was 15 yards for a touchdown. The Dolphins lead the Jaguars 21-7 with under five minutes left in the second quarter.

The panic meter was high for Mike Gesicki owners following an abysmal Week 1 performance against the Patriots. Widely touted as a breakout candidate for 2020 many drafted Gesicki with high hopes, only to have them come crashing down the first game of the season. Those who held on to him were highly rewarded with a Week 2 performance which made him the third highest scorer at the position for the week. Can Gesicki repeat this performance in Week 3 against the Jaguars? We break down the fantasy analysis below.

Fantasy Football analysis: Dolphins TE Mike Gesicki

Mike Gesicki seems to be finding his groove and has earned the trust of Dolphin’s quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fantasy owners hope his Week 2 performance is reproducible as he faces off against a Jacksonville defense that just allowed Jonnu Smith to finish fourth, just behind Gesicki, in Week 2 scoring. Gesicki saw a whopping 16 targets which he turned into 11 receptions for 160 yards and one touchdown. When this type of volume is combined with a susceptible defense and a big bodied receiver like Gesicki, the potential for fantasy greatness always exists. Gesicki belongs in your lineup for Week 3.
