There are three Presidential debates in 2020, and the first will take place September 29th at the Samson Pavilion shared by Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Clinic. It will begin at 9:00 p.m., and you’ll have a tough time finding a non-sport tv channel that isn’t carrying the event.

Moderator Chris Wallace of Fox News will lead both candidates through six topics, each with a dedicated 15-minute segment.

The Trump and Biden Records
The Supreme Court
Covid-19
The Economy
Race and Violence in our Cities
The Integrity of the Election

And this information will be helpful for folks entering DraftKings Sportsbook’s $50,000 Presidential Debate Pool. Entrants will answer 10 questions about what will happen, what will be said and by whom, and much more. We show a few of the questions below, and make some guesses about what the correct answer might be.

When the candidates walk onto the stage, how will they first greet each other?

* Handshake

* Elbow bump

* Fist bump

* No touching

As much of a germaphobe as the President is, he might take any advantage to avoid human contact in all forms. With social distancing being the rule of the day and the desire of both candidates to set a positive example in this era of Covid-19, we’ll go with no touching here.

Who will say the word “China” first?

* Donald Trump

* Joe Biden

* Neither says “China”

Though the topics from Wallace and the debate commission aren’t necessarily listed in order, President Trump is always quick to emphasize that he shut down air travel from China after learning about the novel coronavirus, whether or not that is factual. He feels it’s a winning issue for him with his base, so we expect him to bring up the world’s largest country first.

Who will be mentioned first by either candidate?

* Barack Obama

* Hillary Clinton

* Neither is mentioned

The emphasis from the Vice President on what he often refers to as the Obama-Biden Era means it’s likely the former Senator from Delaware that references our 44th President.

So get ready for some fireworks in Northern Ohio on a night where there will be no NFL, NBA, or NHL to watch. The fate of the republic, as well as $50,000 will be there for the winner.
