The NFL will wrap up Week 2 of the 2020 season with a matchup between the Los Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints on Monday at 8:15 p.m. ET. Las Vegas will play its first home game in Allegiant Stadium against New Orleans as it looks to improve to 2-0 on the year. The Saints won’t make that easy though, as they topped a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team with plenty of talent in Week 1.
The Raiders surprised everyone by making Alabama product Henry Ruggs III the first wide receiver off the board in the 2020 NFL Draft, but second-year running back Josh Jacobs has been the most impressive part of their offense so far. Jacobs rushed for 93 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries in Week 1. Getting That kind of production against one of the best defensive fronts in the NFL will be a challenge though.
Drew Brees is looking to get back on track after throwing for a mere 160 yards in his 2020 debut. He’ll have to bounce back without his main target Michael Thomas, who is expected to miss several weeks with an ankle injury. The versatile Alvin Kamara opened up the season with a two-touchdown performance and should get plenty of touches against Las Vegas.
New Orleans kept Tampa Bay’s star-studded receiving corps in check last Sunday, so Las Vegas could be limited through the air. Brees and Kamara have the highest fantasy football upside in this matchup. Here are some ESPN points projections to give you an idea of what you can expect from key players on Monday.
