The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks close the door on Week 2 Sunday when they meet at CenturyLink Field in Seattle for Sunday Night Football. The game kicks off at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.

Both teams have gotten off to a 1-0 start on the young season. Cam Newton’s debut was a success as the Patriots beat the Dolphins 21-11. New England’s defense stifled the Dolphins for much of the day and the Patriots focused on the ground on offense. Meanwhile, the Seahawks aired it out against the Falcons in a 38-25 win that saw Russell Wilson throw for 322 yards and four touchdowns.

The Seahawks are a four-point favorite as of game day morning. The total for the game is 44.5. The Patriots are +165 underdogs and the Seahawks are -190 favorites. We’ve got a look at DraftKings Sportsbook betting splits to give us an idea of where the public is at on this divisional matchup.

Patriots @ Seahawks betting splits

The betting public is on the Seahawks in this one. 70 percent of total point spread bets and two/thirds of the handle are on the favored Seahawks, with 71 percent of moneyline bets and 60 percent of that handle on the Seahawks to get the simple win. The public expects some scoring in this one, with 77 percent of bets and 69 percent of handle on the over.

The Patriots will be without reserve linebacker Josh Uche, while the Seahawks will likely be without defensive end Rasheem Green and Cedric Ogbuehi who are both reserves.

Given the east to west travel for New England and how good Seattle looked last week, it’s not surprising the Seahawks are getting the bets. New England got the win and looked solid last week, but going from the Dolphins to the Seahawks is a big step up in competition.
