Game day morning update: Both Julian Edelman and N’Keal Harry are expected to play on Sunday Night Football against the Seahawks, according to Ian Rapoport.
Deciphering the New England Patriots’ injury report is always an exercise in frustration. This week’s most notable additions are wide receiver Julian Edelman and N’Keal Harry, both listed as questionable. Edelman is dealing with a knee injury, and Harry’s being bothered by his shoulder. However, all indications are that both of New England’s top two receivers will indeed be on the field this week.
Fantasy impact: WRs Julian Edelman, N’Keal Harry injuries
The two combined to catch 10 of quarterback Cam Newton’s 15 pass completions last week against Miami. Edelman was targeted seven times, catching five balls for 57 yards. Harry, seen as the deep option for that offense, caught five of six passes thrown his way for 39 yards.
The Patriots have a tougher matchup this week against the Seattle Seahawks, and the offense might not be as heavily focused on the run as it was last week against Miami. That’s good news for Edelman and Harry’s fantasy prospects. Edelman is likely to be the top option again, and is a good addition in lineups, especially PPR leagues, this week. It’s harder to know what the week holds for Harry. If the Patriots are going to take some shots, he’ll be the guy, and because of that he could be a decent option for WR3 spots.
