Game status: Brandin Cooks is ACTIVE

Game day morning update: Brandin Cooks is expected to play in Week 2, according to Adam Schefter.

Houston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks is listed as questionable for this week’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. Cooks has been dealing with a quad injury that had him limited in practice this week. It’s the same injury that’s been bugging him all summer. However, he is expected to play this week, despite the injury designation.

Fantasy impact: WR Brandin Cooks injury

Cooks didn’t do much in the Texans’ season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs. He caught just two passes on five targets for a grand total of 20 yards. He was a distant second option behind No. 1 wide receiver Will Fuller.

This week presents another tough matchup for the Texans with the Ravens coming to Houston. And while all signs point to the Texans having to rev up their passing game to have a shot in this one, Cooks probably isn’t worth a spot in lineups this week. Injury aside, he’s just too much of a side note at this point.
